About Armored Homes Foundation

A builder’s commitment.
A community’s future.

We believe every child deserves safety, every family deserves a fair chance and every young person deserves a path forward.

Our purpose

Build what
people need.

Armored Homes Foundation is a developing charitable initiative beginning in Southwest Montana. Our mission is to protect children, strengthen families and create pathways forward for young people affected by foster care, family separation, poverty, trauma and the justice system.

We are developing practical family support, mentorship and hands-on education. Our longer-term vision includes places where young people can find stability, learn useful skills and build lasting relationships.

Children’s safety guides our approach to family preservation. We support strengthening family relationships when doing so is safe and appropriate for the child.

Founder

Christopher
Veltkamp

Montana builder · Founder

Construction taught Christopher that a strong foundation determines what can stand above it.

Christopher brings more than a decade of residential construction experience in Montana’s Gallatin Valley. His personal experience with adversity and family separation helped shape a commitment to building something useful for children and families.

He is bringing that practical builder’s mindset to the foundation’s development: listen, prepare, work with qualified people and build something that can last.

Armored Framing LLC is a separate construction business. The charitable initiative’s purpose, finances and governance need their own clear structure.

Our values

Strong work begins
with clear standards.

Dignity

People are more than the hardest chapter of their lives. We intend to listen without reducing anyone to a label or circumstance.

Responsibility

We want to make commitments we can keep, protect the people involved and give supporters a clear account of the work.

Opportunity

Practical skills, meaningful relationships and access to resources can help people build confidence and independence.

A welcome for everyone

Shared purpose.
Many backgrounds.

People of every faith, belief and background are welcome to help build this mission. We want to serve with respect for each person’s identity, culture and circumstances.

The founder’s personal faith is part of his story. The foundation’s public mission is nonsectarian. Any future faith or reflection activities would be optional; help and opportunity must never depend on religious participation.
